Ingredients

1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar
1 rounded Tbsp. butter
2 heaping Tbsp. plain flour
1/3 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
2 egg yolks, beaten
Preparation

In large skillet or pan, boil first 3 ingredients until syrupy.
Mix rest of ingredients; pour into syrup and cook until thickened.
Cool, then add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
In a large ovenproof dish, put a layer of graham crackers then a layer of pudding over crackers.
Then put a layer of sliced bananas. Repeat layers until all is used.
Cover with meringue made from the 2 egg whites and 2 tablespoons sugar.
Brown at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
