Trails End Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/3 c. cocoa
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. ice water
Preparation
    Prepare two 9-inch cake pans by lining bottom with wax paper or parchment paper, grease and flour pan bottoms.
    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Add vanilla.
    Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and baking powder.
    Add alternately with ice water to butter mixture.
    Blend well.
    Pour into pans and bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool in pans 10 minutes before removing.
    Cool completely and frost with Peppermint Frosting.
