Smothered Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can cream of celery soup
    4 butterfly pork chops
    1 can (2 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/2 c. water
    2 small white whole onions
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1/4 tsp. leaf thyme, crushed
Preparation
    In skillet, brown chops (use 1 tablespoon shortening if needed).
    Pour
    off
    fat.
    Stir in soup, water and thyme.
    Add onions, carrots
    and mushrooms.
    Cover.
    Cook over low heat 45 minutes or until tender.
    Stir now and then.
    Very good served with rice.
