Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. margarine
    3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Begin to add
    to batter, alternating with buttermilk (1 cup). Beat well after each addition.
    Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan
    or
    stem pan.
    Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 1 1/4 hours.
    Cool
    in
    pan
    10
    minutes.
    Invert
    on
    cooling racks. Continue to cool.
