Squash And Apple Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. butternut squash
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. butter or oleo, melted
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. mace
    2 to 3 baking apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices
Preparation
    Cut each squash in
    half
    and
    remove seeds and fibers; pare squash and cut into 1/2-inch slices.
    Stir together brown sugar, butter, flour, salt
    and
    mace.
    In an ungreased baking dish (11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch), place squash, then apples. Top with sugar mixture.
    Cover with foil.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes or until squash is tender.
    Yields 6 servings.
