Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 egg
    1/4 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the butter; add sugar gradually and cream well.
    Sift salt and baking powder with flour; add milk gradually to the sugar mixture, then the well-beaten egg, then vanilla and flour gradually to make soft dough.
    Turn onto a floured board.
    Roll 1/4 inch thick.
    Cut with floured cookie cutter.
    Place on a slightly buttered pan and bake in a hot oven until slightly brown.
