Helen Gardner'S Country Fair Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. oil
    1/4 c. water
    1 3/4 c. grated carrots
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder (double-acting)
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except carrots and pecans, in a large bowl with mixer on low speed.
    Mix well.
    Increase speed to medium and beat 2 minutes.
    Scrape sides of bowl occasionally.
    Stir in carrots and pecans.
