Chinese Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. finely chopped dates
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Beat eggs and add to sugar.
    Sift all dry ingredients; add dates and nuts.
    Add flour mixture to other ingredients.
    Beat well.
    Line 6 x 11-inch pan with waxed paper and spread dough to depth of 1/2 inch.
    Bake 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Makes 22 (1 x 3-inch) bars.
