Fruit Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. pitted prunes
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. dried apples
    2 qt. water
    2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
    1 tsp. grated lemon peel
    2 small sticks cinnamon
    1/2 c. dark corn syrup
    1/4 c. instant tapioca
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, combine prunes, raisins, dried apples and water.
    Set aside for 8 hours or overnight.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Bring mixture to boil over medium heat.
    Reduce heat.
    Simmer 1 hour.
    Discard cinnamon sticks before serving. Serve hot or cold.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
