Granny P'S Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed bananas
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. oatmeal
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar well.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition.
Add bananas and mix well.
Sift flour, soda and salt together.
Add to creamed mixture along with oatmeal. Stir in nuts and flavoring.
Pour batter into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
