Creamy Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large potatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1 stick margarine
    2/3 c. flour
    1 chopped onion (optional)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    3 c. sweet milk
    bacon chips (optional)
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Peel and cube potatoes.
    Stew with 1 teaspoon salt until tender.
    In a double boiler, melt butter.
    Add flour, salt and pepper.
    Add onion and bacon chips, if desired.
    Mix well.
    Add milk.
    Stir until thick, adding more milk until desired consistency (you may use water from potatoes).
    Add potatoes and cheese.
    Mix well.
    Delicious served with corn bread.
