Millie'S Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter, melted
    1 3/4 c. light brown sugar
    3 eggs, lightly beaten
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Set oven at 350\u00b0.
    Grease 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Combine butter and brown sugar and beat until thoroughly mixed.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add them to the batter with the mixer set on its lowest speed, mixing until dry ingredients are blended thoroughly.
    Stir in chocolate bits and walnuts.
    Spread batter in prepared pan.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes until set and lightly browned.
    Cool completely and cut into 24 bars.
    Store in airtight container.
