Sweet Potato Pie House Of Jackson - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar or more
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 c. mashed sweet potatoes (fresh or canned)
    2 Tbsp. lemon or orange juice
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
    1/3 c. pecan halves (optional)
Preparation
    Beat eggs and sugar.
    Add melted butter, salt, milk and spices.
    Blend egg mixture with mashed sweet potatoes and lemon or orange juice. Pour into unbaked pie shell or 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Garnish with pecan halves, if desired.
    Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
    Reduce temperature to 375\u00b0; bake 40 minutes longer, or until golden brown.
    Serve plain or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
    Serves 6 to 8.
