Bananas Hawaiian - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. coconut
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 c. dark rum
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    6 bananas, peeled and sliced
    2 qt. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Heat coconut in large skillet until brown; remove to a sheet of foil to cool.
    Add butter, sugar, rum and cinnamon to skillet. Heat until bubbly.
    Add bananas; cook until slices are heated thoroughly.
    Spoon ice cream into serving dishes and spoon hot bananas and juice over ice cream.
    Sprinkle with coconut.
    Serve at once.
    Makes 8 servings.
