Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 onions, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 c. diced celery
    2 cans tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
    4 Tbsp. butter, melted
Preparation
    Saute onions, green pepper and celery in 4 tablespoons butter. Add tomatoes and simmer for 1 hour.
    Add sugar, flour, soda, salt and pepper.
    Cook until mixture thickens slightly, stirring constantly.
    Can add a few bread crumbs but reserve enough for top.
    Pour all in baking dish, covering top with mixture of cracker crumbs and 4 tablespoons butter.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
