Swedish Limpa Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk
1 cake yeast
2 1/4 c. lukewarm water
1 Tbsp. sugar
6 c. white flour
1 c. dark syrup
1 1/2 tsp. fennel seed
1 1/2 tsp. anise seed
1/2 c. molasses
8 c. rye flour
1 Tbsp. salt
grated orange rind (2 oranges)
1/4 c. chopped candied fruit
1 c. brown sugar (loose pack)
4 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Scald milk and cool to lukewarm.
Soften yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.
Add sugar 1 1/2 cup lukewarm water and milk.
Add white flour and beat well.
Let rise until double in bulk.
