Vicki'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 bay leaves
    1 (15 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    2 cans red kidney beans
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 1/2 ??? chili powder
    1/2 c. taco sauce (hot)
Preparation
    In large skillet, cook onion, green pepper and garlic in butter until tender (not brown).
    Add meat; cook until lightly browned.
    Remove excess fat.
    Add rest of ingredients; simmer 1/2 to 1 hour.
    Remove bay leaf.
