Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. melted Spry (Crisco)
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. dates, pitted and cut
    1 c. walnuts, not chopped too fine
    2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation
    Melt Spry and cool.
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Combine dates and nuts with flour and all.
    Mix well.
    Beat eggs until light; add melted Spry.
    Add to date mixture and stir thoroughly.
    Pour into 9 x 9-inch well-greased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    When cool, cut and dust with powdered sugar.
