Danish Klejners - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. oleo or Crisco
4 tsp. grated lemon peel
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. cream
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream together sugar, eggs and oleo.
Mix in the cream.
Add lemon peel and flour.
Knead together.
Roll out very thin.
Cut into 1 x 2 1/2-inch strips.
Cut 1 inch strip in center.
Pull end through center so it has a twist.
Fry in hot fat until golden brown.
Roll in powdered sugar.
