Butterscotch Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
    sugar and cinnamon
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 stick butter
    1 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Roll dough thin (flour, salt, baking powder and shortening). Cut into squares.
    Place apple halves on dough.
    Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
    Bring dough together over apples.
    Place in greased pan.
    Heat boiling water, butter and brown sugar.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Pour over dumplings.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
