Ingredients

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (10 oz.) pkg. Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
In a large mixer bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
Beat in egg and vanilla extract. Gradually blend in flour mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 8 to 10 minutes.
Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
