Beef And Vegetable Stir-Fry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. top round steak, thinly sliced across grain into bite sized strips
    1 1/2 c. broccoli, cut in 1-inch pieces
    3 carrots, bias slices
    1 medium onion, cut in thin wedges
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1/2 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced
    1 c. frozen peas, thawed
    1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1 c. beef broth, water and bouillon
    2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes the broccoli and carrots.
    Drain.
