Old-Fashioned Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. packed brown sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
3 lb. Golden Delicious or Granny Smith apples, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch thick slices (9 c.)
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 (9-inch) pie crusts
Preparation

Place oven rack in lowest position.
Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Roll out half of the dough on a lightly floured surface with a lightly floured rolling pin to a 12-inch circle.
Line a 9-inch pie plate with dough.
Mix brown sugar, flour and spices in a large bowl. Add apples and lemon juice; toss gently to mix and coat.
Spread in pie plate, mounding apples in center.
Scrape any juices in bowl over apples.
