Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. cornmeal mix
    3 Tbsp. self-rising flour
    1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1 egg
    1 c. milk or water
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, flour and onion.
    Add egg, gradually beat in milk or water.
    Drop from a spoon into hot fat where fish was fried.
    Fry until golden brown.
    Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
    Makes 16 small hush puppies.
