Country Captain - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 to 3 1/2 lb.) chicken
    1/4 c. flour
    salt and pepper to taste
    fat (enough to brown the chicken)
    2 onions, finely chopped
    2 green peppers, finely chopped
    2 stalks celery or celery salt
    3 cans tomatoes
    1 garlic clove, crushed
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. curry powder
    1/2 tsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    2 c. hot cooked rice
    1 can slivered almonds
    1/4 c. raisins
Preparation
    Remove skin from the chicken pieces and coat with mixture of next three ingredients.
    Cook in fat in heavy skillet, browning on all sides.
    Remove chicken and keep hot.
    Cook onions, pepper and garlic in the same skillet, stirring until lightly browned.
    Mix the next ingredients with the tomatoes and simmer (this can be done first, if you like, while the other is cooking).
