Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. defatted chicken broth
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. bread crumbs
    3 c. Vidalia onions, cut up, parboiled
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter, stir in flour, then broth and milk.
    Stir constantly until thickens and smooth.
    Add drained onions and seasoning.
    Pour into buttered dish.
    Cover with crumbs and cheese.
