Iced Fresh Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. ripe tomatoes
    1/4 tsp. dried basil
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 c. chicken broth
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. dry white wine
Preparation
    Cut tomatoes into eighths.
    Force tomatoes, basil and onion through food mill, or whirl in blender and pour through a wire strainer.
    Add chicken broth, sugar, salt, pepper and white wine; whip to blend.
    Chill thoroughly.
    Stir before serving.
    Float peeled, cooked shrimp on top, or garnish with salted whipped cream.
    Serves 6 to 8.
