Marinara Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. olive oil
    3 cloves garlic, halved
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, pureed
    1 Tbsp. basil
    2 Tbsp. oregano
    1/2 c. white wine
Preparation
    Brown garlic in oil.
    Let oil cool.
    Add tomatoes, basil and oregano; simmer for 40 minutes.
    Add wine; simmer an additional 5 minutes.
    Remove garlic.
    Serve over pasta or in lasagna dishes.
