Ingredients

1 egg
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
Preparation

Stir together egg, brown sugar and vanilla.
Add flour, sifted with salt and baking soda.
Add walnuts.
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes in well-greased 8-inch square pan at 350\u00b0.
Cookies should be soft when taken from oven; cool in pan.
Cut into squares.
