Custard Bread Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. plus 1 c. milk
6 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
7 slices bread, buttered and scored
1 small tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. white raisins
Preparation

Butter a 10 x 7 x 3-inch baking dish.
Place buttered bread in bottom.
Sprinkle raisins over bread.
Scald milk.
Beat eggs slightly and add sugar and vanilla to eggs.
Pour milk on eggs, gradually beating at same time. Pour this mixture over bread in dish. Bake in basin of water.
Sprinkle top with confectioners sugar when it is done.
Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes.
