Edna'S Butter Mints - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. soft margarine
1/3 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. peppermint extract
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. box confectioners sugar
Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients.
Gradually add sugar.
Shape into balls; dip a fork into additional sugar and flatten.
Dry 8 to 10 hours on waxed paper before storing in an airtight tin.
Paste food coloring can be used to tint the mints any color desired.
Do not use liquid food coloring, as mints will not set.
