Grandma Griffin'S Egg Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked deep 9-inch pie shell
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. milk
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Scald butter and milk.
    Beat eggs.
    Add sugar and vanilla.
    Add scalded milk and butter to egg mixture slowly.
    Mix well.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Put in oven and reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
    Bake 50 minutes.
