Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can fruit cocktail
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Drain syrup from fruit cocktail and set aside. Combine sugar, salt, soda and flour. Beat egg.
    Add egg and drained syrup to dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Put in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Sprinkle nuts and brown sugar over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip.
    Serves 12 or more.
