Party Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime gelatin
    1 (4 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. cottage cheese
    1 c. Cool Whip
    1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries
    1/4 c. chopped blanched almonds or pecans
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in 1
    cup boiling water; drain pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup syrup.
    Add
    syrup
    to gelatin mixture; mix well.
    Chill until
    thickened.
    Fold
    in
    cottage
    cheese, Cool Whip, pineapple, cherries and nuts.
    Pour
    into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan or
    individual molds.
    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
