Sauerkraut Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lean boneless 3 lb. roast
    1 (15 oz.) can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
    1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes, drained
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1 large apple, cored and sliced
    1 envelope onion gravy mix (not soup mix)
Preparation
    Put apple slices in crock-pot.
    Cut roast in half and put on top of apples.
    Mix other ingredients, except gravy mix, and pour over meat.
    Cook on low 8 hours or until done.
    Then stir in gravy mix.
    Cover and cook 15 minutes longer.
    Serve over hot mashed potatoes with fresh carrots on the side.
