Ingredients

2 eggs
1 c. molasses
1 c. milk (sweet or sour)
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs, then molasses, then milk. Sift dry ingredients together and gradually add to first mixture. Add floured raisins last.
Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet and bake in slow oven (325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0) for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 12 dozen cookies.
