Mushroom Bisque - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 (13 3/4 oz.) cans chicken broth
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms, chopped
    1 c. finely chopped onion
    2 c. milk
    1 c. heavy cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In a heavy 4-quart pot, melt margarine over moderate heat. Stir in flour.
    Cook about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Stir in chicken broth until smooth.
    Add mushrooms and onion.
    Bring mixture to a simmer.
    Cover and cook about 20 minutes over moderate heat.
    Stir in milk, cream and spices.
    Heat until warm.
