Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. diced raw apples
1/2 c. lard or vegetable shortening
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 Tbsp. sour milk or buttermilk
1/2 c. nutmeats
Preparation

In a bowl, cream together sugar and lard.
Add eggs, sour milk and cream.
Add sifted dry ingredients.
Mix. Batter will be thick.
Blend in apples and nuts. Bake in greased and floured bread pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
This is a very moist bread.
