Braised Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lb. fresh green beans, washed and tips removed
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 Tbsp. tomato paste
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 c. water (approximately)
Preparation

Heat oil in heavy saucepan.
Add onion and garlic.
Cook until golden.
Add remaining ingredients.
Juices should just cover beans in pan.
If not, add a little more water.
Cover. Cook over low heat for 45 minutes or until fork-tender.
Serve with pan juices.
Yields 4 servings.
