Creamy Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rice
    1 c. boiling water
    dash of salt
    1 qt. milk
    1/4 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Simmer rice, water and salt in covered stockpot for 7 minutes. Add milk and butter and bring to boil. Cook on low in covered pot for 1 1/4 hours (watch carefully; can cook over). Stir frequently. Add eggs, sugar and vanilla (mixed together). Cook
    on low until thick.
