Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 oz. red food coloring
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Make a paste with food coloring and cocoa, then add to creamed mixture.
    Add salt and flour alternately with buttermilk and vanilla.
    Blend in soda and vinegar.
    Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0 in 2 (8-inch) round pans.
    Frost with cream cheese frosting.
