Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
    4 c. cut up apples
    reserved pineapple juice
    1 beaten egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 small bag hulless Spanish peanuts
Preparation
    Mix together crushed pineapple and cut up apples.
    Place in covered container and refrigerate.
    In saucepan, cook pineapple juice, egg, sugar, cider vinegar and flour until thick.
    Set in refrigerator overnight.
    Before serving, fold Cool Whip into cooked mixture.
    Then add Spanish peanuts.
    Then add apple and pineapple mixture.
    Serve.
    Makes a good-size bowl.
