Grandma Herring'S Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. blackberry preserves
1 c. sour milk
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Mix dry ingredients together and add alternately with the milk to the butter and sugar mixture.
Last, add the preserves and stir well.
Bake in 2 layers at 350\u00b0 until done.
