Fresh Apple Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 or 6 apples, sliced
    a few dashes of lemon juice
    1/2 c. or more water
    1/2 c. or more sugar
    dash of cinnamon and nutmeg
    2 slices white bread
    a little brown sugar
    butter or margarine
Preparation
    Fill a casserole dish with sliced apples. If very sweet, add the lemon juice.
    Add the water, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Crumble the bread over top. Sprinkle the brown sugar over. Dot generously with butter or margarine.
    Cook 45 minutes or until apples are tender at 350\u00b0.
