Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. regular oats, uncooked
1 c. margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 (1.5 oz.) milk chocolate bars, grated
Preparation

Place oats in container of electric blender or food processor; process until finely ground; set aside.
Beat butter in a large bowl at medium speed of an electric mixer; gradually add sugars, beating well.
Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
Combine ground oats, flour, soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
Stir in chocolate morsels, grated chocolate and pecans.
Drop dough by level tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly.
Remove to wire rack and cool completely.
Yields 7 dozen.
