Ohio Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
    1/2 lb. American cheese
    1/2 lb. grated Mozzarella cheese
    Parmesan cheese (to taste)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (2 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 family size can tomato sauce
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato paste
    basil leaves to taste
Preparation
    Brown chicken.
    Add onion, mushrooms, tomato sauce and paste. Simmer for 30 minutes.
    Prepare noodles separately using a tablespoon of oil in water to prevent sticking.
    Drain and spread each noodle.
    Ready to layer.
    Alternate layer sauce, noodles and cheeses in 13 x 9 1/4-inch casserole.
    Repeat.
    Bake covered for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Yields 12 to 14 servings.
