Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. or 1 box of 100% Bran Cereal, divided
2 c. boiling water
1 c. margarine or shortening
3 c. white sugar
4 eggs
4 c. (1 qt) buttermilk
5 c. flour
5 tsp. soda
2 - 10-biscuit tubes of buttermilk refrigerator biscuits
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1-1/2 c.? white sugar
1 stick? butter or margarine
2 c.? powdered sugar
1 Tbsp.? milk
Few drops vanilla (optional)
Preparation

Mix white sugar with cinnamon. Melt butter. Roll biscuits individually in butter, then cinnamon & sugar and place in baking pan (a metal gelatin ring mold works very well).
Bake around 20 minutes at 350 degrees and check. You may want to turn out onto another baking sheet so that it finishes baking evenly.
Add powdered sugar gradually to any left over melted butter (melt more if needed). Add milk and vanilla as desired to make frosting. Apply thick frosting to hot biscuits; it will thin some as it melts.
Garnish with maraschino cherries if you want!
