Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas (approximately 3)
2 eggs
2/3 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation

In a large bowl mix together flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.
Add shortening, 1/3 cup buttermilk and bananas. Beat for 2 minutes.
Add 1/3 cup buttermilk and eggs, beating for 2 minutes.
Fold in chopped nuts.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
