Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. long-grain rice
    1 1/4 c. crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 1/3 c. vegetable broth or water
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
Preparation
    Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
    Add rice and stir until coated with the oil.
    Blend tomatoes or tomato sauce, garlic, onion and 1/3 cup of broth or water in food processor or blender until smooth.
