Butter Crunch - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. corn syrup
3/4 c. chopped nuts
4 oz. milk chocolate
Preparation

Melt butter over low heat.
Remove from heat.
Add sugar. Return to heat and wait for sugar and butter to bubble.
Add water and syrup.
Mix well.
Cook over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes (hard crack stage).
Remove from heat.
Add nuts.
Pour on lightly greased baking sheet.
Spread to 1/4-inch thick.
Spread melted chocolate over the top of the crunch as it begins to harden. Sprinkle nuts over chocolate, if desired.
